Angels Snatch 4-3 Win
|
San Antonio beat Portland (E) at Ballpark of Portland, eking out a 4-3 win. The triumph was primarily due to center fielder Tony Tinoco. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Hector Moreno earned the save, his 4th. San Antonio is in 4th place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division with a record of 42-47.
San Antonio used the timely hitting of Jon Castrejon to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Angels on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good team win," Castrejon said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
