Both offenses were relatively subdued at Kroger Stadium. Fortunately for the Miami Cyclones, though, Anaximander McKay was able to deliver in the clutch. He was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs, to lead his team past the Baltimore Kings, 3-2. The Cyclones raised their record to 53-34.

Had Karl Cooper not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Cooper hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Cyclones.

"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," McKay told the Miami Observer.
