The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.

Portland pitcher Eliecer Cervantes had a large part in his team beating the Tucson Toros, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Portland reliever Justin Kurth snagged the win, upping his record to 3-3. Ignacio Noriega shouldered the loss.

Portland got a knockout punch from Shigenobu Shimamoto. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Cervantes said.

Portland has a record of 42-45, placing them third in the Western Conference Eric Wise Division.
