The Portland (E) Lobster beat the San Antonio Angels, 7-6, at Ballpark of Portland. The Lobster got a fine performance from designated hitter Luis Cortes, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Justin Samsel snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Eduardo Escobar suffered the loss. Kevin D'Addio closed it out for his 4th save.

In the bottom of the second, Portland (E) catcher Jason Paradis had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Paradis stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 6-4, Portland (E). For the game, he went 1 for 3 with a walk.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Cortes.
