In a low-scoring affair between Vancouver Wolves and the Philadelphia Spectres, pitcher Jose Madrid was the difference-maker. The Vancouver right-hander handcuffed the opposition, to help his team pocket a 2-1 win. Philadelphia has now lost 5 straight.

Alvaro Salazar came through with a big-time hit for Vancouver. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
