The San Francisco Friars dealt the Toronto Juggernauts a loss at Molson Park. The final score was 8-2. Lyalya Markosiants was especially productive for San Francisco. In addition to his 1 single and 1 triple, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. San Francisco reliever Kiyohiro Kaneshiro was the winner. His record is now 2-4. Santiago Ontiveros took the loss. O-min Che closed out the game, earning his 7th save.
Markosiants contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for San Francisco in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Markosiants took a changeup from Santiago Ontiveros and stroked the triple to center. His 3rd triple of the season allowed the Friars to leap in front, 2-1.
Said losing manager Marc Arnold: "We need to play with more of an edge."
