Spectres Losers, 9-3, to Houston
|
Houston pitcher Yadisniel Saez did his part in helping his team beat the Philadelphia Spectres, 9-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winning pitcher was Saez, now 10-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. The 4th-place Spectres have lost 4 straight games.
Ricky Zika had a big 2-run home run for the Aquas in the top of the first inning. With Houston leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Uno Urquidez and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Aquas on top, 3-0.
"I take a professional approach to my job," said Zika. "I've been around this game for a while."
