The Houston Aquas picked up a win at Sony Field at Philadelphia, topping the Philadelphia Spectres, 5-0. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Ricky Zika. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner was Zika. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Jimmy Biair. Houston is now 53-32, while Philadelphia is 41-45.

Houston took control in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Bobby Badeaux hit a 2-run single to make it 2-0, Aquas.

"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Houston manager Brandon Coroian.
