The New York Titans did just enough to sneak past the Miami Cyclones, 6-5, at Kroger Stadium. New York pitcher Salvatore Castellon, in particular, had a standout performance. Luis Erazo recorded the save, his 2nd. New York is now 42-43.
New York left fielder Leo Ekgart contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 73rd hit of the season and put the Titans ahead, 3-1.
Ekgart told reporters after the game: "All's well that ends well."
