Zika Fires Shutout in Seattle Victory
Ricky Zika subdued the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 8-0, pitching a 2-hit gem for the Seattle Arrows at Power Ballpark.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Seattle skipper Dr. Jay Siber said.

Zika registered 4 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in his superb performance.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Phoenix manager Joe Busch after the defeat.

For the season, Zika has a record of 8 wins and 7 losses in 18 appearances. He has an ERA of 4.22 and has fanned 115 batters in 113 innings.
