The Denver Glaciers got a hard-earned win over the Minneapolis Vikings, 15-14, in 10 innings. John Sauve provided some offensive muscle for Denver. He was 2-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Phil Payne notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-3. The Glaciers saw their record improve to 45-41.

The decisive blow was delivered by Alex Guilzar in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jaime Luther to win the game for Denver. The home crowd went nuts.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Guilzar.
