Titans Fall Short, 6-5, at Brooklyn
Browns left fielder Joe Bingham left his mark on his team's 6-5 win over the New York Titans. Bingham, who finished 5th in the WC in on-base percentage with .384 in 2074, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Brooklyn in the contest. Brooklyn reliever Victor Balaguer, who finished 4th in the WC in saves with 34 in 2071, was credited with the win. His record goes to 7-4. Pete Obradovic took the loss for New York. Alexis Burgos collected save number 2.

Tommy Bomba had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for the Browns. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Brooklyn trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.

Brooklyn manager Jason Cormier was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

The loss makes New York 61-26.
