The Portland (E) Lobster went home winners at Ballpark of Portland, thanks in large part to starter Antonio Melgar. Melgar stifled the Las Vegas Aces, enabling Portland (E) to grab the 6-1 win. The Lobster now have a record of 35-50 with the win over Las Vegas.

The Lobster got a big at-bat from third baseman Rene Pelayo. For the game, Pelayo went 1-2 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Portland (E) a 2-0 lead.

"I know we have our doubters," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
