Friars Defeat Rangers, 13-5
|
With right fielder Leonilde Tigre leading the charge, the San Francisco Friars defeated the Buffalo Rangers, 13-5, at Bison Stadium. Tigre, who is on pace for 107 RBI this season, went 4 for 8 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 7 runs and scored once. With the victory, the Friars record now stands at 47-39.
BastyĆ£o Carloto hit a run-scoring triple off Kanei Muraoka in the top of the 14th, which put the Friars in front, 6-5. In addition to the triple, Carloto had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Francisco manager Jeremy Cooan.
