Cyclones Clip Twins, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Miami Cyclones and the Cincinnati Twins, pitcher Josh Hebrank was the difference between victory and defeat. The Miami right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Cyclones win. Hebrank, the winner, moves to 2-7. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks. Andres Berrones earned the save for Miami, his 17th of the year.
Miami third baseman Paul Zimmers contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 64th hit of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 2-0.
Zimmers called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
Miami, with the win, sits at 27-58.
