Cyclones Lose as Titans Stage Late Rally
New York pitcher Keiyo Nagao did his part in helping his team beat the Miami Cyclones, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Pierre Prent, who finished 4th in the WC in strikeouts with 229 in 2078, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Luis Collaso. New York is now 41-43.

Jeremy Ruzicka came through with a big-time hit for New York. The second baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Winning makes the heart grow fonder -- for more winning," said Ruzicka, cracking a smile.
