It was a sensational day at the plate for Los Angeles Stars center fielder Casey Marko, but a tough one for the team, as the Stars dropped the contest, 10-9, to the Denver Glaciers.

Even with the loss, Marko was pure misery for the Denver pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.

"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Marko, who is the three-time All-Star .

"Marko really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Glaciers manager Todd Bleess told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Casey Marko singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a three-run triple in the 9th.

Thus far this year, Marko has hit .323 with 7 home runs and 40 RBIs.
