Kings Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The Baltimore Kings topped the Santiago Avispas by a score of 5-4 in 13 innings. Leading the way was designated hitter Chris Kill. Kill went 4-6 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Kings. Ed Harrison recorded the save for Baltimore, his 1st of the season. The loss makes Santiago 43-40.
Kill had a game-changing home run in the top of the 13th. On a 2-2 fastball from Teh-huai Yap, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Kings a 5-3 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Kill.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter.
