San Francisco Pins 13-3 Loss on Phantoms
|
Mario Murillo made an impact in the 13-3 San Francisco win over Chicago. Murillo, who is tied for 2nd in the WC in extra base hits with 42, went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. San Francisco reliever Brian Langguth picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Antonio Melgar shouldered the loss. With the win, the Friars have a record of 45-39.
Manny Talamantes, the eight-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Talamantes contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put San Francisco up, 5-3.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Murillo.
