The Aquas grabbed a win, 4-2, at Foster Field, overcoming a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Tetsukazu Kaneda. Kaneda went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Yasuhiro Katayama notched his 2nd save of the season. The first-place Aquas are 51-32.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Nick Arciniega was at the plate when Houston scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Aquas to go in front, 2-1.

Arciniega told a Houston Herald reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
