The Los Angeles Stars powered past the Vancouver Wolves, 9-6, at Stars Ballpark. Bobby Badeaux went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4, to lead the charge. Ken Lambros earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record is now 2-1. Miguel Torrez recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 20 for 21.

In the bottom of the sixth, Badeaux put his team in front with his 8th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Danny Laird, made it 9-6, Los Angeles.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.

The first-place Stars improved to 52-32.
