Ringo Pineiro pitched well, but the Vancouver Wolves still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the San Francisco Friars at Staples Field. Cruz Ponce collected his 7th save. San Francisco is 39-44 and Vancouver, with the loss, 32-51.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Friars had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when second baseman Bonaventure Moser hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Ringo Pineiro and made the score 2-1, Friars. Moser was 1-4.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Vancouver manager Zach Meinen. "Obviously."
