Kodiaks Lose Late to Arrows
The Alaska Kodiaks got a superb performance from designated hitter Frankie Tercero, but the Seattle Arrows still won the game, 10-9. Tercero went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Seattle reliever Jim Morgan got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Eddie Ferrufino was tagged with the loss. The Arrows now own a record of 40-43.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Seattle trailing 9-7, Mark Kubina delivered the decisive blow, stroking a changeup from David Klontz for a bases-clearing double. Ballgame.

"This wasn't a good win," said Kubina. "It was a great win."
