Boston Earns 5-4 Win
|
The Boston Greens needed 13 innings to defeat the Santiago Avispas, 5-4, at Arrington Park. Boston right fielder Luis Nungaray had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The 4th-place Greens are now 32-48, the Avispas 27-54.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Boston catcher Richard Allemand, facing Brian Evanko, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Greens the 5-4 win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Allemand said.
