The Chicago Phantoms took Houston pitcher Yadisniel Saez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Foster Field. The final score had Chicago getting past the Aquas, 4-1. Saez went 7 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 6. Chicago pitcher Teh-huai Yap got the win. He's now 2-0. Danny Mathews was tagged with the loss. At 46-35, the Phantoms find themselves in second place in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.

Chicago got a knockout punch from Luis Cortes. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was rocking at the end," Cortes said.
