Cyclones Curb Greens, 2-0
|
Not everyone stuck through the 28-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Miami Cyclones pitcher Josh Hebrank was in fine form, leading his team past the Boston Greens, 2-0. Miami has now won 3 straight, while the Greens have lost 3 in a row.
Henry McAfee had a big solo home run for the Cyclones in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Miami leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Rafael Morales and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Cyclones on top, 2-0.
"Josh pitched like a champ," said Miami manager Chris Stephan.
