The Denver Glaciers topped the San Francisco Friars, 5-2, in Western Conference action at Staples Field. The standout performance belonged to Denver pitcher and Fresno, California, native James L'Hommedieu. L'Hommedieu picked up the win for Denver, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Bobby de Jager got the save, his 14th in 16 chances.
Pete Delzeit chipped in for Denver, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1.
