Kings Lose 5-2 Decision to San Francisco
|
Cruz Ponce, who is tied for 10th in the WC with a 9.4 K/9 rate, had a strong outing for the San Francisco Friars against the Baltimore Kings at Staples Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Ponce picked up the win for San Francisco, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-2. Jeff Boffa recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 13 for 18.
The Friars got a big at-bat from first baseman MigdĂ´nio Ervilhosa. For the game, Ervilhosa was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
