The New York Titans thumped the Minneapolis Vikings, 9-0, at Minneapolis Grounds. Izuru Takada was a big reason his team got the win. Takada was 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. New York, at 58-21, is 15 games up in the Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division.

With New York leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Takada hit a sinker from Micah Schull for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Titans ahead, 5-0.

"We had a nice day," said New York skipper Nate Beckman.
