Cincinnati Beats Washington, 3-2
|
Alberto Zamora, who leads the EC in innings pitched with 116.0, pitched well, but the Washington Senators still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Cincinnati Twins at The ESPN Zone. Cincinnati occupies 4th place in the Eastern Conference Willis Briceno Division at 36-42.
Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Keith Daul to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Twins on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did enough to win," said Daul.
