Senators Grind Out 1-0 Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Washington Senators and the Cincinnati Twins, pitcher Bobby Jaramillo was fantastic. The Washington right-hander helped his team secure the win, 1-0. The save was credited to Keung King, his 21st. The Senators raised their record to 32-47.
The Senators got a big at-bat from right fielder Jeremy Fajardo. For the game, Fajardo was 2 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Washington a 1-0 lead.
"That's baseball," said Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
