Aaron Kopta pitched a gem in leading Maine to a 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Spectres. With the win, Maine goes to 37-41, while the Spectres fall to 39-40.

Maine got a clutch hit from Hotel Jesus Jr.. The third baseman launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"The crowd was raucous," said Kopta.
