Rangers Roll to 10-3 Win Over Spectres
|
Zach Gavula impressed in the 10-3 Buffalo win over Philadelphia. Gavula, who finished 3rd in the EC in batting average with .308 in 2072, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Josh Breaux got the win, improving to 7-1. He held the Spectres to 2 runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 0. The Rangers go to 50-26, putting them first in the Eastern Conference Bill Oates Division.
Buffalo used the clutch hitting of Jossue Lopez to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Rangers the lead, 5-2. For the game, Lopez had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Lopez told the Buffalo Bulletin.
