Greens Fall Short, 3-2, at Miami
|
The Miami Cyclones had to overcome a fine performance from Boston pitcher Vismay Falcon to grab a 3-2 win at Kroger Stadium. Falcon allowed 3 runs over 6 innings. Andres Berrones got credit for the save for Miami. It was his 15th of the year. Miami, with the win, sits at 25-52.
Hunter Begley drove in one run for Miami. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Vismay Falcon. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
Boston manager Matt Glazer said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
