Dave Palacios was a major factor in the 4-2 Philadelphia win over Boston. The Spectres designated hitter was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Uno Urquidez got credit for the win, improving to 4-8. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5.2 innings. The Spectres improved to 39-38.
Earl Carpenter had a big 2-run double for the Spectres in the bottom of the third inning. With Philadelphia leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Orosmani Ottamendi, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2079 draft, and swatted a double to right. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spectres ahead, 4-0.
"Good win for us," said Carpenter. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
