Vancouver turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jose Madrid into a 3-0 triumph over the San Francisco Friars at Fox-Chong Park. Picking up his 7th save was 36-year old left-handed pitcher Yasniel Ramirez. The last-place Wolves bumped their record to 30-47.

Madrid earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Vancouver. The native of El Rama, Nicaragua, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. San Francisco hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"Jose made his pitches," said Vancouver manager Zach Meinen.
