The Minneapolis Vikings picked up a win at Minneapolis Grounds, downing the Tucson Toros, 4-2. On the mound for Minneapolis was left-hander Kent Laing, who played a pivotal role in the win. Minneapolis pitcher Ti-an Fang earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Miguel Moquete suffered the loss. With the win, the Vikings improved to 31-45.

Midori Morikawa came through for Minneapolis when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike slider to right-center field, staking his team to a 3-2 lead.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Morikawa. "It sure beats the alternative."
