Salmon Helps Juggernauts Beat Spectres, 12-6
|
Matt Salmon knocked in 7 runs to help Toronto beat Philadelphia, 12-6. The designated hitter collected 2 singles, 1 double, and 1 home run. Morgan California, the 4th overall pick in the 2066 draft, was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. The third-place Juggernauts now have a record of 34-40.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Salmon hit a 3-run home run off Seong-chin Weon. It propelled the Juggernauts into the lead, 8-5.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Juggernauts manager Marc Arnold. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
