The Portland Dragons topped the Denver Glaciers, 3-2, in Western Conference action at Portland Park. The standout performance belonged to Portland pitcher and Las Tunas, Cuba, native Eliecer Cervantes. Cervantes yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-2. Eric Scherer recorded the save, making him 1 for 2.

The Dragons got a big at-bat from shortstop Brick Dickerson. For the game, Dickerson went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Portland a 2-0 lead.
