The Washington Senators powered past the Kansas City Athletics, 9-7, at The ESPN Zone. Scott Flynn went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Josh Breaux picked up the win, lifting his record to 7-5 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 2 in 5.2 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Julio Mendoza, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2074 draft, nailed down the save.

Flynn contributed in the bottom of the first. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Washington get the win.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Flynn said.

The Senators saw their win-loss record go to 32-42. At the same time, the Athletics fell to 44-30.
