Cyclones Rally Late to Nip Harfangs
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Montreal Harfangs home opener. Marcos Sordia started for the home team against Roberto Davila for the Miami Cyclones. The Harfangs were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 2-1, Miami. Roberto Davila, though, was impressive. Ricardo Riveron recorded the save, his 1st.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Pete Apolinar? The two-time All-Star Apolinar stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Miami up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

In postgame comments to the Miami Observer, Davila said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
