Salmon Propels Juggernauts to 8-1 Win
|
Matt Salmon knocked in 5 runs to help Toronto beat Santiago, 8-1. Salmon produced 2 singles and 1 home run. Edwin Bonomi picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-4. He struck out 8 in 7.2 innings. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Juggernauts.
Hisatada Konda had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for Toronto. With the bases loaded and the Juggernauts leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"I like winning," Konda told the Toronto Gazette. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
