Senators Snatch 6-2 Win from Twins
|
The Washington Senators faced a tough opponent in Cincinnati pitcher Beau Eschmann, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The ESPN Zone by a final score of 6-2. Eschmann went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The last-place Senators have a record of 30-43.
Washington got a knockout punch from Cosmo Rothman. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This game was intense," Rothman said, postgame.
