Denver Defeated By Arrows, 7-4
|
The Seattle Arrows picked up a win at Power Ballpark, taking down the Denver Glaciers, 7-4. Starting pitcher Graham MacInstalker was a big reason why. MacInstalker yielded 3 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-2. Aaron Narduzzi collected save number 15.
Danny Grandgeorge had a big 2-run double for the Arrows in the bottom of the second inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Tetsukazu Kaneda, who is a two-time All-Star, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Arrows ahead, 3-0.
"I had pretty good command out there," said MacInstalker.
The last-place Arrows have won 4 in a row.
