The Houston Aquas tallied a win at Tesoro Stadium, throttling the Las Vegas Aces, 4-2. Starting pitcher Antonio Equihua was a big reason for his team's success. Ron Gelsomino earned save number 2 this season. The first-place Aquas lifted their record to 46-26.

The Aquas got a big at-bat from center fielder David Kuthakwakulu. For the game, Kuthakwakulu went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 22nd double of the season gave Houston a 1-0 lead.

"When I go out there," said Equihua, "the last thing I want to do is let my teammates down."
