The Portland Dragons knocked off the Vancouver Wolves, 5-2, in Western Conference action at Portland Park. Portland pitcher and Puebla, Mexico, native Taxi Sabala had an outstanding performance. The Dragons go to 39-33, putting them first in the Western Conference John Sexton Division.

Portland took a 4-2 lead on Hunter Begley's 10th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Begley hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Vancouver pitcher Ruben Hernandez visibly frustrated.

"Nothing fazes Taxi," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter.
