Glaciers Best Friars, 11-3
|
The Denver Glaciers beat the San Francisco Friars, 11-3, at Mountain Dew Park. Walter Gravel, in particular, was impressive. He was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Denver pitcher Cursive DeMarco got the win. He's now 4-8. Nate Daniels was tagged with the loss. The Glaciers now have a mark of 42-30.
James Vientos put Denver in front, 11-3, when he took John Goeman downtown. His 3-run home run came with no one out in the bottom of the eighth. It was his 7th home run of the season.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Vientos.
