Friars Beat Baltimore, 6-5
|
The San Francisco Friars handed the Baltimore Kings a 6-5 defeat in 10 innings at AT&T Park. Left Fielder Chris Neri starred for San Francisco. He was 4 for 6 with 4 singles. Jon Dehmer earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game. The Friars lead the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division by 2 games.
Had Neri not come through in the top of the tenth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Neri hit a run-scoring single. The Friars took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.
In postgame remarks, Neri simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
