Tucson first baseman Migdônio Ervilhosa had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Los Angeles Stars, 6-3. Ignacio Noriega nailed down his 14th save.

With Tucson leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Ervilhosa hit a fastball from Jordan Oliva for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Toros ahead, 5-1.

"We didn't play well enough to win," said Los Angeles skipper Pat Kaers.

Tucson, at 32-39, holds down third place in the Western Conference Brian Boots Division.
