Though he had a stellar game, Anaximander McKay could not prevent his team, the Vancouver Wolves, from losing, 5-4, to the Chicago Phantoms. McKay was 1 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Jeff Umlah finished the game for Chicago and earned his 1st save. Chicago is now 39-31, while Vancouver is 28-43.

The Phantoms got a big at-bat from first baseman Jose Buezo. For the game, Buezo went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Chicago a 5-4 lead.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Buezo. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."
