Kodiaks Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
In a well-pitched game between the Alaska Kodiaks and the Portland Dragons, pitcher Alex Mayorga was superb. The Alaska right-hander helped his team win, 1-0. The second-place Kodiaks sport a record of 38-33.

Chico Seguito went 1-3 for Alaska. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Eliecer Cervantes. It was his 26th RBI of the season.

"Runs were at a premium," said Alaska manager Alex King.
