Cyclones Win, 3-2, Extend Streak to 6 Games
|
Miami pitcher Josh Hebrank did his part in helping his team defeat the Philadelphia Spectres, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Alex Laso, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. The win puts the Cyclones at 33-35, while the Spectres drop to 32-37.
Gurmu Jemadari, who is tied for 10th in the EC with a .323 batting average, aided the Miami cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"This team is headed in the right direction," said Hebrank.
