Rangers Win by Slim Margin, 3-2
|
The Buffalo Rangers snuck past the Toronto Juggernauts, 3-2, in 10 innings. Buffalo pitcher Mike O'Keefe, in particular, had a standout performance. Ignacio Noriega claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 4-3. At 44-24, the Rangers are currently first in the Eastern Conference Bill Oates Division.
The Rangers got a clutch hit from designated hitter Joel Steadman. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rangers.
In postgame comments, Steadman said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
