Late Rally Earns San Francisco 4-3 Win
|
The San Francisco Friars defeated the Las Vegas Aces by the score of 4-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Bobby Rojas. Rojas went 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for the Friars on the day. The third-place Friars now have a win-loss record of 32-38.
Lyalya Markosiants came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Rojas called the win "good for the psyche of this team."
